Santa Barbara Portrait Session : Forrest and Priscilla

Words cannot describe how powerful this shoot was to me. Recently, I have been experiencing people and shoots that have been making me think twice about what I do and how I go about it. Forrest and Priscilla recently got news that Priscilla developed a form of cancer. They wanted to be photographed before surgery and just have some time and photographs together to remember this time before such a life changing event. I can say that they were holding on to the days they do have with each other and the joy of being in each others presence. It was a reminder that no matter what you are going through, though it can be really tough sometimes, the time we have is so precious and wonderful. There were no words or gimmicky things said that made them smile or laugh, nothing that I did that was new or innovative, these were photos that were created by letting two individuals struggle and love through a situation that only God can guide them through. I hope these images say the same to you.

If you would like to pray for them and Priscilla’s recovery, please do so.
